    Choosing the right sound system for your wedding


    You’ve carefully chosen the right people to speak at your wedding.  
    Each presenter practices what they’re going to say.  Some speak
    boldly and their voices carry well.  Others speak quietly.  Each has an
    important message and deserves to be heard by all of your guests.  
    That’s why it is important to have a good sound system and dedicated
    person at the controls.  

    If your ceremony is very intimate, there might not be a need for
    microphones and speakers.  For larger ceremonies, however, a
    microphone and speakers are almost essential.  

    A well thought out sound system will not only sound good; it will look good too.  It needs to be
    creatively positioned to
           
    •        Avoid feedback from microphones
    •        Not be an eyesore in your wedding photos
    •        Avoid tripping hazards from cables
           
    Utilizing the services of a professional sound technician before
    and during the ceremony is money well spent.  He or she will

    •        Help you decide what type of setup to use (will it be
             indoors or out?  Are musicians involved?)       
    •        Arrive on time, dressed appropriately.    
    •        Set up and test everything.  
    •        Monitor and adjust levels during the ceremony to
             accommodate the variety of speaking styles.
    •        Take everything down afterward.
